In 2025, Nazarbayev University (NU) marks its 15th anniversary, coinciding with the 15th International Congress of ISAAC (International Society for Analysis, its Applications and Computation), which will be held on July 21–25, 2025 at NU. This congress, being hosted in Central Asia for the first time, reflects the region’s growing role in the global academic community.

NU has established itself as a leading institution in the region, ranked #1 in Central Asia, with a strong focus on research and innovation. Over the past 15 years, the university has produced more than 10,000 graduates, with a 98% employment rate, 92% contributing to Kazakhstan’s development, and 87% working in their field of study.

Also NU has achieved a series of notable milestones, demonstrating its excellence on the global academic stage. According to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, released on October 9, 2024, NU ranks in the top 24-29% of the world’s best research universities. This ranking evaluated 2,092 institutions across approximately 115 countries, with NU securing a commendable position within the 501-600 range, marking the best performance among universities not only in Kazakhstan but also Central Asia.
